New Day

It's been a few years and even though I haven't posted, I tend to revitalize and rejuvenate this blog. I want to make a new blog as well that has all my "controversial opinions". People might not think it's a good idea, but it's an experiment and a work in progress. Lots of things have changed and lots of ideas seem to be popping out. Yay!

Great Open Road

I'm now eligible to get a learner's permit. Yay! I wanted to get one yesterday but I didn't. We went out to the mall. It was as crouded as Christmas for some reason. I know, I know, Columbus Day. I'm sure the sales weren't that great. But back to the driving. There are so many technicalities in this state for driving. By the looks of it, I won't finish completing their requirements until I'm an old lady. I'm going to try and get a learner's permit next week. It's on my backlogged to do list.

Touchy Feely Cousin

Has anyone here ever been hit on by their cousins? It's a sick feeling really and if its never happened to you consider yourself lucky. Yesterday, our family had to attend a memorial service at an aunts house for my late uncle Todd. It was a big deal and lots of people attended. My brother Tyler and my two cousins Matt and Henry were the only family around my age that I was familiar with so I just spent time with them. Soon, another boy, some cousin Andrew, arrived that Matt and Henry knew. Andrew joined us. Andrew was a boy about my age, six feet tall and played football. He reminded me of J.J. from Good Times. We all talked and joked for a while. Then I noticed Andrew started taking an interest in me. (I had never seen Andrew before this, so he didn't know me) I kept drawing away. He kept complimenting me and demanding hugs. I was politely declining his advances. When the service was coming to a close, he kept talking of getting everyone's phone numbers. Blindly enough, when he needed a pen, I got him one and he copied down Matt and Henry's number. Next, he demanded mine. Thoughtlessly I gave him the number (there's my huge mistake) and he demanded yet another hug. This time, like the others, I declined and he started moving toward me. I ran one house down the street and he caught me by the hand. He yanked my arm and I tried to tug away but he used his athelete's strength against me. (my arm still hurts) He wrapped his tentacle-like arms around my small stature in a bear hug. I was helpless. Faster than I thought, his hands started to roam to the neather regions of my back. With a groan of disgust, I broke free and walked back to disbanding memorial service. As he started to leave, I realized that he had my father's pen. My father, avid pen colector that he is, is very fond of his expensive pens. It was a rare time he let me use it. I played a small game of Keep Away in which the pen was the object being kept away from me. I ran, in heels, up and down the street for the pen. Finally, after a significant amount of chasing, I won the pen back after declining yet another offer for a hug.

Falling Behind

I haven't written in so long. Time does get the best of me. I'm into all this new stuff I saw on the internet. This Postcrossing thing for one. I think it's a great idea. I've always wanted to snail mail someone for a while. It would be nice to get to know another part of the world through a native's eyes. (Native sounds so.... odd but that was the only word I could think of.) It would also be nice to talk to someone other than the idiots that live here. Another site I saw that was interesting was Bookcrossing. The idea with this site is to share books for free. You could leave the book in a public place for someone to read and pass on or you could send the book on a journey with members of the site. I don't think a whole lot of books would survive. It's hard to trust people so that they won't deface the books or keep the books. Bookcrossing is like the world is a library kind of deal. That would be cool.

Trabaja - Work and the Ghana/Brazil Game

My Dad says I have to work with him after we come back from the vacation. I have to work two days of the week and I still don't know what he's going to make me do. I just know I'll be paid and can put some money away in my bank account. I'm not a big people person so he's probably going to make me work with papers. Let's just hope I don't go blind. Tuesday's Ghana vs. Brazil game was sad. I watched it in it's entirety and I was disappointed. But I sort of guessed it too. I'm not Ghanean. You'd might think so but I'm not.

Vacations

I won't be here from July 10th to the 27th I think. I'm taking two vacations. One to Disneyworld in Florida and the other to Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. I'm going to Disneyworld with my family and to Rehohoth with my friends. I've never been to either places so if anyone has anything to tell me, please do. I haven't been swimming in over two years so I don't know what to expect. I hope I can get used to the water again. I'm excited but scared to be going all over the place like this. We sort of did it last year and it was great but this year, since I've become more reclusive, I really don't know.

Tangerine

Wow, my guild has really picked up from a few days ago. I didn't think it was going to get this far but hey. We have a newsletter now.

German

Since Thursday, I've been teaching myself German using an old college textbook from the '70's. Sad thing is that the book is the second one in the series, not the first. German is tough but I'm trying. How do those Germans do it? The vowels themselves have two kinds of sounds- long and short. Then there are those diphthongs. Diphthongs are two vowel sounds put together. Like "au" is one of them. I haven't gotten too far in the book yet, but I wonder if learning this mysterious and infamously difficult language is worth my while?

America Vs. Ghana

On Thursday, Ghana beat the U.S. No one thought they were to win; the little team that could. But Ghana pulled through. Sorry America, but I rooted for Ghana. Soccer is seen as a "pansy" sport here in the US by some people and that's why I rooted for the underdogs. I think they needed the win more than America did. I'm worried about the next game vs Brazil. That one can mean a loss for Ghana.

Long Time Ago

Wow. I haven't posted anything new in more than a year. I remember telling myself I wasn't going to neglect this blog. I did though and for people who actually read this, I guess I'm sorry. I just recently got back into Neopets and made a guild with a girl named Brooke. She's so great, it's just that she hasn't been online for days. Hey Brooke! If you read this please come help out with the guild. I'm also thinking of putting a radio blog player with this blog. I'll put all of my most listened to songs for your listening pleasure, ok? ;0) I wish I had Paintshop Pro again. Also I really want to join soccer. I want to join a soccer team! You wanna see other things I want to do? Go to 43 things then. It's a cool website. Try it. Also, Who's watching the World Cup? I am. Who are you rooting for? Tell me!!!!!
